About our introductory articles

What is really good as mirin? You might say it is the cheapest sweet sake easy to get. I see, it is surely very important saving in such time. Wait a few, however! It is sure it makes your body or dishes worse to use cheaper mirin products at universal stores. I am telling why.

Real rice shochu

Three-Year Genuine Fuku Mirin

Genuine mirin is made from nothing but rice-malt, glutinous rice and real rice shochu. Look at most of usual mirin at the stores and you see they use some additives for unjust diluting. For instance, you would find saccharides as ingredients.

Their using additives to pad out means also the original effects of mirin get thinned down. And we cannot expect. That is to say, it is perfectly useless as seasonings, you know.

Therefore Three-Year Genuine Fuku Mirin, produced by Fukumitsuya in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, is recommended now.

On producing, they use their own made rice shochu, glutinous rice cultivated in Ishikawa prefecture, and rice-malt from rice called Fukunohana, suitable for brewing. Moreover, they let it age for three years as its name tells. So the quality and the taste can get improved. That is why the mirin should be commended here.

Using a fewer of this mirin than usual products, you can blow off the strong smells of dishes. You can keep it from breaking up. And also happily, you can add refined sweetness. Seeing is believing. Please come on try.
