You would like to get genuine mirin. But you also want to use sweet sake made by some familiar breweries. It makes you feel uneasy to have mirin by obscure makers.

Takara Hon Mirin
from Real Rice Shochu

Takara Shuzo Co., Ltd., they have produced this sweet sake, Takara Hon Mirin from Real Rice Shochu. Several sorts of sweet sake have been brewed by Takara. Among all of them, this is the most special. The mirin can be mentioned as even their ultimate weapon.

They say they firstly stuck to water above all else for brewing. Used is just Takenaka Pure Water, very famous as a great spring in Kyoto. And in Kyoto, the birthplace of sweet sake, they decided to brew this mirin.

Using no longer extra additives and only domestically produced rice, Takara Shuzo has gathered the best know-how and brewed the sweet sake. So there is a marked difference between this and others by Takara Shuzo. Straightly, as you can drink, the result is great.

You cannot use this over a year after uncapping and it is a little heavy as 1.8 liter is. However, it brings you the most special effect among their mirin products. Try once in your cooking.
