About our introductory articles

Wednesday Cat? I suppose you must look (kind of) doubtful. No, cats don't recognize what day today is. So there are no Wednesday cats in the world. It means cats are everyday just cats as always.

I have not kept a cat. And I am not going to talk about anything about actual cats. Wednesday Cat is a Japan-made Belgian White Ale produced by Yo-ho Brewing. They are a Nagano beer brewery in cooperation with Kirin Beer. And the Belgian White Ale was released in 2012 November. In 2019 September, you can still find the cans at some Japan's main supermarkets like Aeon, Ikari, and Izumiya.

What is Belgian White Ale? It is a kind of beers. There are many kinds of beer as you know if you love to drink beer so much. By the way, most of beers at Japanese alcohol stores are pilsner like the Premium Malts. I suppose pilsner is doubtlessly the most popular in Japan.

They use orange peel and coriander seeds for brewing Belgian White Ale. Then it smells so nice. On the other hand, it seldom tastes bitter. I suppose it tastes smoother than pilsner beers.

Wednesday is the middle of weekdays as you know. Some would like to have a little rest on Wednesday. Haven't you felt so? If you think so, why don't you have a can of Wednesday Cat? It tastes smooth, mild, and mellow. It will make you take a breather for just a while. I suppose Yo-ho Brewing people suggest so. Incidentally, the (mysterious) cat was illustrated by a Japanese female illustrator Ono Mai.
