Combined classes, it means classes which consist of more two grades. In Japan, the number of combined classes is on the decrease as with decreasing of the number of primary schools. Combined classes are still beside us, however, because of decrease of people, doughnut phenomenon and so on.
The number of schools which were oclosed because of decrease of children, is not small in Wakayama. There are many combined classes. Ogawa primary school, which has been in the center of Wakayama, has some combined classes, too.
