About our introductory articles

We introduced Lotte's Yukimi Daifuku as "The Ice Cream That Turned Over the Commonsense" is the article. Today, we are featuring "Coolish" by Lotte. Now, we must reuse "The Ice Cream That Turned Over the Commonsense" for the introduction.

What's "Coolish?" We first have to tell about "Sou" for explaining the "Coolish." Existing ice cream almost made thirsty those who'd eaten the ones. Then, as the special ice cream to make us feel refreshed after eating, Lotte produced "Sou" in 1999.

We no more talk about "Sou" now. "Coolish" is the main subject. Since 1983, in Japan, plastic bottles have been popular as drink containers. Around 2000, ice cream were left behind drink with plastic bottles in the market.

We can drink when we want to, by the plastic bottles. Lotte tried to bring the portability to ice cream. "Coolish" appeared in 2003 under the great difficulties.

"Coolish" uses cheer packs as the containers for the good portability. Lotte, in fact, put their "Sou" into the cheer packs. Not just the containers, however also ice cream itself must be fresh like drink. (Naturally, they use the different blending technology for "Coolish.")

Then, "Coolish" became a big hit over Japan. But we're difficult to find the chasers in the market. We can say it's because of peculiarity of the contained ice cream. "Coolish" could be made by Lotte that have kept turning over commonsense.
