Patiently is described, it is because she had longed for publishing her jazz songs for many years as above. There will be no worries and troubles if you can do as you like. But it is easily guessed that she had been bound with many limitations on activity as a singer. Vocal skill also changes each time. Then, she started to make her jazz album as much as to say“the time has come”in 2011.
Her first jazz album was totally produced by Matsuo Kiyoshi who some times has joined her past CDs. Famous as a black music investigator and as one of the advisers to Utada Hikaru, Hirai Ken and the like in each early time, he has produced and written lyrics on two original songs for Delicious. And then, the album has been completed as a real delicious thing to the letter.
It is universally often that pop singers released jazzy songs. And also it is often they are castigated by jazz lovers that tend to mock pop music each time. But Delicious is too good to be thrown away from some biased preconception.
Matsuo Kiyoshi has produced Delicious. And there are other competent players that have taken part in making the songs. Above all, beautiful is her vocal that she has judged good to sing jazz. They have harmonized and direct sweet time.
Cry Me A River written by Arthur Hamilton, the song is famous as Misora Hibari has covered in Japan. Lullaby Of Birdland written by George Shearing, it was from Birdland: an old jazz club in New York. And other jazz standard songs are in the album. The most notable among them is two new original songs placed on the first and on the last. A Woman Needs Jazz and Mizuiro no Kage which means Shadow of Light Blue in English. The two can tell us why she has decided to release a jazz album in 2011.
They printed First Jazz Album. So maybe she has reviewed publishing the second jazz album. Then, listening to Delicious, we should for a short time look forward to her next jazz.
