Hello, I'm so glad to see you here with me. Now I'm talking about "Journey without a map 2" by Takuro. It was released in 2019 February. What? You have never heard Takuro? He is a guitarist who's belonged to a Japanese popular rock band Glay.
First, I'm explaining about Glay. Glay consists of Takuro, Teru, Hisashi and Jiro. Takuro and Teru were born in 1971 Hakodate, Hokkaido. And Hisashi and Jiro were given birth to in 1972. They formed Glay in 1987 to 1988 Hakodate. In 1990, they moved to Tokyo in order to be a pop star. In 1994, through their hard years, they got to make their major debut under the direction of Yoshiki (X Japan).
In the end of the 20th century, they became a pop star. Over one million sold their singles like However, Survival, Be With You, and Soul Love. Takuro was in charge of the leader, and he's written most of Glay singles. What does it mean? He obtained a profit much more than other members.
Time flied. In 2011, Takuro became 40 years old. He had a longing for becoming a solo guitarist like David Gilmour.
One day, he talked about the longing with Tak Matsumoto (1961 -). Tak is a Japanese popular guitarist who belongs to B'z. Tak's worked as a pro guitarist since 1980's when Takuro was only a child in Hakodate. Takuro met Tak first in 1999, and has been so close. "I want to be a good guitarist like David Gilmour someday" said Takuro. And Tak replied "Not someday, but you must be soon." Then, Takuro asked Tak to produce the first album.
In 2016, he released his first solo album. And in 2019, the second was out. Tak produced again, and composed "北夜色 Port Town Blues" for the second solo album. Tak said he composed it as his imaginary picture of Hakodate, Takuro's hometown. What can we think? One is that Tak probably took cognizance of Takuro's growth in his guitar skill. Another is that Takuro expressed himself in his solo activities. The portrait of the second shows Takuro's wife.
