About our introductory articles

The Daihatsu Copen is a 2-door sports car built by the Japanese car company in Osaka, Daihatsu. The first made the debut in 2002 and had been produced until 2012. Last year, 2014, we have got to see the second appear. It, namely, means a kind of open two-seat cars in Kei car (Light Automobile) class.

Copen Robe 2014

Daihatsu is a subsidiary of Toyota and keeps the top of Japanese Kei cars, as Subaru (Fuji Heavy Industries) stopped making light vehicles by themselves in 2012. Their ones are all manufactured by Daihatsu in OEM.

You may guess sports cars mean Ferrari and Lamborghini. They are surely regarded as an art of cars. However, don’t suit most of Japan’s sceneries and so bad in economy.

Cars point a means of daily transportation in Japan. There are a lot of local areas whose residents cannot live without two cars or three at a family. So Kei cars have improved like the present in Japan. Nevertheless, we will never be happy with a car just for moving. Having a car must be valuable when you can enjoy driving the one. The Daihatsu Copen are practical and gives you pleasure of driving.

Like having the retractable hardtop, they held the bad news about open cars to a minimum. You are supposed to be glad that it owns a minimum space for baggage, because most of roadsters don’t have.

Copen runs silently and smoothly, feeling just like a sports car. Nobody will deny it is reasonable that the second Copen got about 4,000 orders during the first month.
