At Japanese shrines...



Although we see miko at Japanese shrines, it is easy to think they mostly work part-time. Then, in Japan, aren't there professional miko ladies anymore? Yes, there are a little for real. However, they have to be short-lived. Their retiring age is, it is said, the second half of 20s. By the way, only women can be miko because they are out of applying the Equal Employment Opportunity Law.
