Who was the first female idol in Japan?
There are lots of Japanese female idols in Japan. Originally they had called Star or Singer till 1960s. Released was a French film Cherchez l'idole with Japanese title Idol Wo Sagase in November 1964 and then the word Idol became very popular in Japan. In passing, Minami Saori appeared as the first female idol in Japan.
