About our introductory articles

Recession is still going on in Nippon. They have cut the National Pension and have wrongfully held back our wages. Consumers are losing the choices day after day, then. Some aged men around me are pitifully saving expenses like carrying a canteen or doing away with breakfast. It is laughable to guess our business is good in spite of these situations. Recovery of business means advancement of our life’s lowest level.

Social awareness is mentioned in the beginning though this is an article to feature sake. But hold on and please be with me for just a while. Katsuyama Brewry in Miyagi prefecture was established in 1688. They have all carried out their products upgrading while the market has a trend of drastic price reduction for longtime recession. Why have they survived? The reason is the high price is based on their high quality.

Let me explain what defines Japanese sake. Needless to say, nothing but the sake made from rice and rice malt is it. Regrettably, at stores, we can see a lot of the fakes inflated by distilled alcohol.

However, all the products of Katsuyama Brewery are made from rice and rice malt. It tastes so admirable that on we could have the sake at first class of ANA international flight. We can say “Katsuyama Den” is the basic one of their products.

I don’t deny it is important to reduce costs on your business. In recession, there are many companies which have to cut waste and expenses in order to supply something at lower price for the poor consumers. They often lose their quality. Success of Katsuyama Brewery seems to be calling a temporary halt to these situations, but. Money is originally just a measure to live or manage. You get your priorities wrong when you are making your products lower controlled by money.

“Katsuyama Den” can give us not only the deliciousness and richness, but also their pride as a maker.
