About our introductory articles

Morinokura is a Japanese sake brewery established in Fukuoka. They have stood and brewed since 1898. Their products are produced for becoming a good partner of Fukuoka food. By the way, Morinokura means a brewery in a mysterious forest although Mori sometimes does Sendai city in Miyagi.

Each man has his own policy. Mine says it cannot be recognized as sake if not made from rice and rice malt. Morinokura is in accordance with my policy. Every product of theirs is made from rice and rice malt. However, that is not out of their long history.

In 2005, they snaked themselves free from sake with distilled alcohol added, and began to brew sake without any additives. They first commercialized pure sake in 1981. It cannot be called a recent issue, but must be the latter half thinking about their long history.

Sake can manage a wider range against food than ones with distilled alcohol. Morinokura is supposed to have shifted to true sake for that reason.

They use rice grown in Fukuoka for their products. Therefore, their sake can agree with the local dishes like Hakata Zoni and Etsu dishes very much. You can get what their policy is when you drink their sake.
