The Premium Version of Malts
If you swing by a sake store in Japan, you will see many kinds of sake. Bottles of sake, casks of sake, and canned sake. And mostly, they sell some cans of beer at the corner. I suppose that you'd find the Premium Malts there in high probability.
What's the Premium Malts? It is one of quality beers brewed in Japan. Suntory have produced it since 2003 May. It is (needless to say) the premium version of Malts. So (first) I have to explain what Malts is, don't I?
In 1986, Suntory were at their wits end since they had been in trouble at the domestic beer field. They almost played second (or third) fiddle to Kirin at the time. What'd help them? They decided to produce a quality beer no other companies had brewed. In the middle of 1980's, it was rare to find quality beers made from naught but malt and hops in Japan. They got to launch Malts at stores in 1986, after the winding road. Malts were (needless to say) made from malt and hops.
Malts had gradually spread in Japan. Generally saying, it spread in 1990's. The end of the 20th century. In 2000 November, just before the 21st century came, they released the limited special Malts. It got very popular. They decided to produce the special beer throughout a year. It might be a twice‐told story like children fall to the ground with nothing on the road. Anyway, they renamed it the Premium Malts in 2003.
The Premium Malts also had slowly spread over Japan. In other hand, Malts gradually lost its popularity. Just like Neanderthal men declined contrary to prosperity of Homo sapiens. In 2015, they finally stopped brewing Malts. The door was closed. They changed the title into "The Malts" and have recently produce it again. But we are hard to see the normal ones (the Malts) get the better of the Premium Malts, to say frankly.
Is it so delicious? you might ask me. Sorry but I have no correct answer. I don't know how you will feel. Why don't you decide by yourselves with some actual try?
