Yoshimoto Banana is a Japanese popular female novelist who was born in 1964 Tokyo. And she made her debut with her virgin story "Kitchen" in 1987. Many people kept their eyes on her virgin story. She got a lot of popularity inside and outside Japan. Some of her works have been translated in foreign languages like English, Italy, French and Chinese. Adultery and South America is a short story collection of hers released in 2000 March, that includes 7 short stories.
