About our introductory articles

It is so bad for you ignoring Authentic Shoe & Co. when you are trying to select your dress shoes among the shoes made in Japan.

We can say dress shoes have got shaped at the edge of a long-time flow like several hundred years. Like Eduard Meier in Germany, Edward Green in United Kingdom, Bonora in Italy and so on, we have various great brands of dress shoes among the Western.

That is so reasonable, because dress shoes were basically developed in the Western. It cannot be denied that we Japanese have shorter history.

However, there are great dress shoe makers also inside Japan, and it is very foolish to make a disregard of them. We are introducing Authentic Shoe & Co., one of them right here.

A Japanese designer, Takegahara Toshinosuke established a shoe brand whose name was his own, in 1994. 21st century came and soon, he renamed the brand. That is Authentic Shoe & Co. So it is also the starting point of him as a shoe designer.

Takegahara Toshinosuke, whose grandfather was a shoe maker, had studied at Tricker's, an old-established shoe maker in England. His sense and career are amazing. For instance, Northampton Museum and Gallery, the only shoe museum in the world, decided to keep Setta, one from Authentic Shoe & Co., as their Permanent Collection in 2004. That was the first example besides the Western.

He never sticks to handmade shoes. Under direction of his unique talent, he uses the advantage of both manufacturing and manual labor.

Among all products of Authentic Shoe & Co., one of their dress shoes must get in your collection if you want a pair of Japan-made dress shoes, gentlemen.
