Hello. I'm talking about Momotaro Jeans, the Japan's jeans brand established in 2006. As you know, jeans were not originally born in Japan. And what made them produce the Momotaro Jeans?

The brand was originally produced by Manabe Toshio. He appeared in 1954 Okayama, Japan. One day in 1980's, he got so absorbed in Ai-zome (Japan's original blue). He desired to have his own fashion brand featuring the blue. And after some years, he established the Korekuto inc. in 1992. And in 1994, he made his dream come true, his own jeans brand "Japan Blue" appeared. He believed "We need to pay a lot for manufacturing something good. If it is truly nice, people love it although it is a little expensive." Based on his belief, he released the new brand in 2006. It was the Momotaro Jeans.
Why is it Momotaro? His birthplace Okayama is well-known as the origin place of Momotaro Story (though there are various opinions about it). Manabe deeply loved Okayama. And so he named so.
