Haven't you thought like this? "I don't like festivals because people look very crazy and excited while going on." It is a wrong answer if you are getting away from that storm.

We all have combative instincts and desire to rage. Haven't you wanted to break everything up for tension and stress? Everybody includes that impulse. In a calm life, it sometimes causes madness. So it is necessary and important to degas with storming at an unusual event like festivals.



"Abare Matsuri" is a festival held on the first Friday and Saturday of July in Ishikawa prefecture. It is supposed the festival is also held for degassing. That was started in the Edo era. In the district, disease was about as there were a lot of the dead. They invited Gozuten-no from Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto, therefore. It is said to be the origin of the local festival.



Gozuten-no is said to love something violent. Then, the Abare Matsuri is also as they throw away the Mikoshi to rivers and fires.



As mentioned above, it is important to become violent publicly. Our daily life, working, eating and sleeping is no interesting. Most can feel satisfied. So we need a chance to use our physical bodies for getting rid of seeds of madness. Moreover, through a festival, neighbors can be more familiar, which helps their community activities.

"Abare Matsuri" teaches us how important storming is. That's never what to be blamed knitting their brows.
