Tokuyo Brown Rice Tea by Harada Seicha
Easily, You Can Taste New Year's Tea
After New Year's Day came, what kind of drink should you have in January? It must be tea with roasted rice after all. It is, of course, all good that you drink anything like coarse tea or roasted green tea. Originally a tea dealer had felt sorry for scraps of rice cake left after kagami-biraki; a custom in Japanese January, roasted and mixed them with tea leaves. Then, brown rice tea was born. So it ties with January.
Though that tea smells and tastes sort of high-toned, it is never affected for all that. They are still close to brown rice tea at offices and ordinary homes in Japan. Let me say in passing that I had served tea at an old office in years of a new employee and often made tea with roasted rice.

You don't need any teapots for having it. They are tea bags of brown rice tea. So you can easily get the tea of New Year. Naturally they can be kept for a long time. As tokuyo means economical, 50 tea bags are in it. That must be useful at even offices probably.
The company has been established in Shizuoka: the place of tea. They have worked well in the O.E.M, but this is from their own brand. So it smells and tastes pretty comfortable and comes up to your expectation. It is too good to miss in your next January.
