The Cheaper Version of Kukure Curry

House Food began to supply the Kari-ya Curry series in 1999. The (almost) end of the 20th century was it. What's the Kari-ya Curry? It is one of the Japanese heat-and-eat curry manufactures. And they say the series have been at No.1 in the total sales of all Japan's heat-and-eat curry products for over this 15 years (Now is 2021).

So I can say the series is the most popular in the field of heat-and-eat curry all over Japan. In fact, I have lived in Osaka and I can find some of the series lie at my neighbor supermarket and the nearest drugstore. Probably, you are easy to meet it if you live in Japan's urban areas.

Why did they so sell? The series is mostly cheaper than other manufactures like Kukure Curry. Too outspoken? But it is truth. In the end of 1990's, as you know, Japanese people almost had no room to spend extra money because of the collapse of bubble economy in 1991. The cheaper it was, the greater they felt. And so House Food dropped the cheaper version of Kukure Curry to the market. It was Kari-ya Curry. It looks Japanese people hardly cared about the taste.

It still sells so well today. What does it mean? It means Japanese people are still deep in the aftermath of the 1991 economy shock. The wound has kept festering, the government have never launched anything effective. They have given up considering for the 3 decades at all, Japanese business persons and statesmen. Do you say I am kind of extrapunitive? The big sales of the Kari-ya Curry tells us so, however.
