I Don't Need Two Thirds, But...
Hello, everyone. I'm so glad to be here with you now. Today I'm talking about "GInger Cough Drops" produced by Meiji.
I guess that I'd better not explain what the Meiji is. They are a global company from Japan, and have produced a lot of kinds of things over the world. I'm just a Japanese one. Then no matter what I try to explain, it will be kind of different from what you feel about the Meiji. Global companies are too monstrous to be discribed correctly.
So let me talk about the product. Meiji released the candies in 2010 October. It was released as a winter-only product of them. The ginger candies got popular, they released it again in 2011 October. Next year again, it appeared. In 2018 October, we found it at stores again. It's natural to consider that the candies are regarded as a winter staple by them now.
It is an assortment of three flavors. Honey-ginger, citron-ginger, and cumquat-ginger. Until 2014, they had lemon-ginger instead of cumquat-ginger.

My personal opinion says that I like the cumquat-ginger flavor. No strong is my throat. Although the two other candies are so spicy that I'm difficult to lick, the cumquat-ginger ones taste just right for me. Of course, I know enough there's individual variation.
