It is said that most of Japanese people are used to soft water which includes little of mineral. Although it is truly easy to drink, you can take few of mineral for having mineral water. But in hard water, rather than Japanese products, most will choose ultramarine ones like Perrier, Evian and so on.

“Water of Shiretoko Abyss” can give you lots of mineral though it is produced in Japan. That is a kind of deep ocean water which is taken from depth over 200 meters. Japanese guidelines of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries do not accept that as mineral water because it is not sampled at a particular source, though it lies at stores as mineral water in Japan.

Shiretoko Peninsula is famous as listed on natural heritage by UNESCO. “Water of Shiretoko Abyss” comes from the offing, depth: several kilometers. Special filters take off the salt content, although they leave lots of mineral within the water. The hardness is 1,000. We cannot deny some of people who are used to soft water might say it is hard to drink.

Different from the outer water which basks in sunlight, deep ocean water has got no sunshine and has been kept in low temperature. Moreover, being under unimaginable high pressure of deep sea, the water is said to be pure and clear, far away from chemical pollution.
