The Maker Speaks
■ How about the present (2018)?
M: Mr. Yoyogi said he was going to retire at 80, and he got to age 80 this year. Everyone in the Mensetsu Gundan, including me, longs for his staying. He looked fine when I met him last time. However, we must pay attention to his intension as much as possible. Impossible is relying on him forever. Therefore, my subject is how I take over Yoyogism, how I perform and dispatch it. He said he was Okay with no succesion, but I believe it is a waste to let it go.
■ In other words, is there nobody who has taken Yoyogism over in the AV business?
M: Of course, you can find some AV makers who desire to produce the AVs including good intercourse like Maguwai. But it's never supposed they sell so much. Yoyogi's works also have lately sold less than yesterdays. Today AV watchers mostly have a fixed idea on AVs, and we the suppliers cannot be free from stereotype. When there's little to choose between the productions, the more the makers increase, the less it makes a profit naturally. Producing AVs freely is pretty difficult for anybody but Mr. Yoyogi who manages the maker himself. I guess it is the present state.
However, it doesn't mean that nobody needs Yoyogism. He began the Onanie series in 1980's. The series caught the women who set themselves free and gave themselves up to pleasure. Even today, there are the women who long for the films. Facing themselves, thinking about their sex and drive, women finally have to find him, Yoyogism still now.
■ It means that most women have felt oppression in their love life ━━
M: Changelessly. Lewd women increased, men misunderstood so when increased the women who became honest about their sex drive. That followed just male-dominance intercourse like it finished when men ejaculated. However, have increased the women who desire to face their own sex drive, who don't just serve the male partners. "An-an" (Japanese popular magazine for ladies) published the special numbers featuring intercourse.
I sometimes give lectures and join events on intercourse, because I would like to do something for such people. I'm an AV actor and so I gotta express good sex in the productions. But I want them not to copy me in the VTR. Actually, there are still many people in Japan, who misunderstand that following AVs gives them good intercourse.
■ I agree. Then, like that methopher a cactus showed...
M: Yes, nothing's better than doing it actually. Mr. Yoyogi said doing it once was better than a thousand words. I know, however, it is difficult for some people. So I am trying to build a place which anybody can talk about the sex frankly.
■ I guess talking is also difficult.
M: I agree. Talking about something spiritual and abstract too much, it tends to make us away from our daily life. I guess I am sill poor at such a sense of balance, and Mr. Yoyogi is great. He sometimes looks like a holy man and at other times a God Father.
■ I see. Finally, woundn't you talk about the relationship between Mr. Yoyogi and you?
M: I would. I said Mr. Yoyogi was not my master, but I believe he's a mentor. Mr. Yoyogi truly respects us the actors as comrades, I believe.
■ Like a buddy in working?
M: I think Hiramoto Kazuho is who Mr. Yoyogi trusts, like some friendship, most in the Mensetsu Gundan. Mr. Yoyogi may kind of sympathize with Mr. Hiramoto. I guess Mr. Yoyogi respects the leader, Ichihara Katsuya. Ginji has embodied Yoyogism most, he's close to a symbol of Mr. Yoyogi. Just my impression.
■ How about you?
M: By my autoanalysis, I have the strongest "Thinker" in the Mensetsu Gundan. I tend to think too much, in other words. Maybe it works somehow in the Gundan but I guess I am not enough. I would like to have sex by sensibility and real nature, not consideration. My next stage is, I suppose, embodying and verifying Yoyogism. It maybe sounds easy, but practicing actually is pretty difficult.
