■ What did your custom change on your work?

N: From this angle, I often mind their voices. Their requests made us increase the standard shoes in our lineup. I believe they gave us a chance to create standard shoes.

■ You are just wearing Kawageta, aren’t you? Are you heading for your own satisfaction when you make shoes?

N: When it is some ladies’ shoes like pumps, a female crew tests it for some weeks and I minutely ask her opinion. Basically, every shoe produced by Kikkabo is commercialized after that is tested for weeks. So long as we are shoe makers, it is the lowest limit our shoes are comfortable to walk in.

■ Thanks for showing your pride. Finally, how about standard and fashion?

N: In my opinion, fashion is a kind of politeness. It is not good when fashion hurts someone’s feelings. You should add your character as an essence. Standard is a concept throughout long-time history. I am just respecting.
