Y: I suppose, to speak a bad dialect, Aizome was wearing aura of genuine female that pulled men strongly. Her background was not simple. She was not sophisticated and stereotyped. However, living very purely was Aizome Kyoko.

■ Most the present girls would save or invest, which means Aizome knows money should come and go. Then, “Adult Video” the conception was before long formed and spread. The wave might have pushed, you got out of the field of films in 1988.

Y: It was already difficult to receive sufficient pay for our production cost, mostly because people were watching adult motion pictures home without going to theaters. It is better to watch alone than doing among a crowd, in the case of adult works, not usual ones. Inevitable was, therefore, the porno films' decline.


■ Moving from films to the video, you didn’t feel as if you had left your heart behind?

Y: No at all. I was originally uninterested in films itself. When I was making the Roman Pornos as a production chief of Prima Kikaku, I experienced a tragedy. Instead of the presidents, I faced a trial of Nikkatsu Roman Porno Incident, because Nikkatsu gave their words that they were going to compensate me for the damage after the judgement. However, changing the representative director, they broke their promise. I was not that kind and then, went mad. So I was no attached to the movie field.

I was on good term in the video production department of Nikkatsu, however. We, including Shibuya Police, the video department and me, used to have each baseball team. For the connection, I produced video works now and then. I earned my keep enough since was managing a company in show biz as mentioned previously.


■ It looks you have been an AV director because of your surroundings.

Y: I agree. Looking back, I am difficult to find an example which I challenged independently. Maybe I am passive in a sense. Instead, I pursue what I take on to my own consent.

During the Heisei era, I have been just an AV director. I was very absorbed in sex since the scenes of AVs always gave me new discovery. Men are ever interested in women, and desire to know about the real intentions and ecology more. I have visualized our primitive questions like “What makes woman truly come?” “What is Orgasm?”


■ I will subscribe to your opinion. Were there no AVs in quest of those?

Y: Since the period of Pink Films, actresses had to act orgasm to scripts written by the male. I believe I, for the first time, recorded a woman who really came in a series of “THE ONANIE” (1982). I had seen in my private time LOL. However, the audience and I had never seen women come without any acting at the filming location.

And then, the video got to be the first example to be showed on the screen with help of then Toyo Genzo (Imagica at the present) technique. That became a big hit like the theaters were overflowing with the audience. All the staff, including sound crews and the director me, were very excited in the filming.


■ That is just charm which real things obtain. However, I consider that most of adult videos still show us only acting of sex and orgasm. How about that?
