Soba is a popular dish of Japanese traditional food. Everywhere, various kinds of soba have for a long time been had and loved in Japan. And from long ago, soba has been had at some welcome reception in rural districts. Most Japanese have soba on every New Year’s Eve.
Tsugaru soba, a kind of soba, is a traditional dish in Aomori. They use soybeans to make Tsugaru soba, instead of wheat flour. Now, Tsugaru 100 nen Shokudo is introduced. It is a movie of the history of Ohmori Restaurant, which has for about 100 years supplied Tsugaru soba in Aomori.
A Japanese comic duo, Oriental Radio which consists of Nakata and Fujimori plays the main role in the movie. Nakata plays the founder of Ohmori Restaurant and Fujimori plays the fourth. So the story goes on in Meiji Period and in Heisei Period. That is surely necessary to express the theme of the movie. Loves for family, for home places and for the taste of Tsugaru soba, are necessary to continue a small restaurant in rural districts for over 100 years. The movie carefully draws them.
Famous places in Aomori are often seen because they actually recorded the film at the famous places like Hachinohe or Hirosaki Park and so on. And the main two nicely play the young in Aomori. We recommend various kinds of people, especially, people which have some allergy to soybeans because it might be difficult for them to actually have Tsugaru soba. So, please taste Tsugaru soba with seeing the movie if you had some allergy.
