Have you ever head Anime Food? It means realized food things from the animated world. Not just those make the anime fans so pleased, but also it is supposed to let gourmets recognize the animation. We have seen sites about Anime Food and the restaurants featuring that recently.

Though it is just within illustrated pictures, you must get a lot of charm from many works of animation. What is the most popular? That is nothing but meatball spaghetti which appears in “the Castle of Cagliostro” released in 1979. That is the second film of Lupin the Third.

As quoted in Maya Mineo’s “Okusama wa Patalliro!” which has naught to do with Lupin the Third, it is certainly sure the food has been celebrated all over Japan.

One of various theories says their stage is established as 1960s San Leo in east central Italy. You see all of the cars are very old-fashioned when you’ve got the information. And the meatballs are considered as polpettini, Italian traditional home cooking meatball.


☆Recipe for Polpettini for Two☆
1. Chop half an onion and some mushrooms into fine pieces.
2. Chop up a piece of pancetta.
3. Knead the chopped three kinds and minced meat for a while.
4. Make various balls out of the kneaded freely.
5. Fry them on an oiled frying pan with more of olive oil.
6. All done when the inside is cooked.


You have to make also spaghetti sauce, it goes without saying. Please do cook it as you like.

The animated film describes Lupin the Third and Jigen together have it at a suburban restaurant whose customer drinks Chianti straight from a bottle. You must feel like having the meatball spaghetti when you watch the scene. It comes from, of course, high quality of the animation. With this, why not feel so delicious?
