About our introductory articles

Hearing Tedious Man, what kind of man do you think of? Do you think of humorless man that talks without any jokes or the man who talks just about himself, who takes no interest in others? Granted that whatever you think of, he must be a man who cannot nicely develop his human relations.

Yamanaka Sawao is a front man of the pillows, a rock and roll band in Japan. His second solo album, Tedious Man was released in October of 2011. He rightly expresses such a tedious man in the album.

Well, his great point seems to be his sense of balance, in listening to the album. His musicianship is the same as his first solo album. However his sense of balance seems sharper than before. For example, the volume of the album is just right. The album consists of nine songs. Nine is best. If it was thirteen, it seems too much. Even if it was ten, it is so. He chose nine songs and that made right.

The songs give rise to the dark atmosphere, but some saving grace is superbly arranged with balance of sound or guest musicians' play. What is called being popular on the hit chart will not be real in Japan. Ordinary goodness, however, are listened.

Ironic, introspective and resigned monologue of a tedious man must nicely be listened. Personally, it is thought to be also good back ground music of your doing something.

Is this a good way to recommend????
