About our introductory articles

Erika Sawajiri is a Japanese famous actress. Her saying and acting have impressed us a lot in 2000s. Because of her saying, Erika bashing had happened in Japanese media. But it was not that everyone disliked her, most of bashers were Japanese media; magazines, newspaper and so on. The album, whose title meant love for her, was released in 2011. Everyone Loves Erika, by Agata Morio which is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Hokkaido, is it.

But not all songs in the album are about Sawajiri Erika. If anything, most are not. He covered famous tango songs and also that includes 4000 tsubu no Koi no Uta from This Is For You, a tribute album of The Yellow Monkey; a Japanese rock band which broke up in 2004. So several cover songs and four new songs are included.

Everyone Loves Erika is Agata Morio's third tango album after an interval of 24 years. He recorded overseas like in Buenos Aires, the home of tango and recorded plays of great tango musicians. The songs will let you feel very relaxed and feel depth of mind. His vocal is of course great though Agata Morio is over 60.

Great tango songs consist of great players. Something nostalgic and something new can be felt in listening to the album. Maybe, what is felt can be closely concerned with feelings Sawajiri Erika had felt in the bushing in Japan. Right or wrong, it will be seen after you listen to.
