"Delicious" is a jazz album which JUJU, a Japanese female pop singer, released in 2011 November. I felt the songs were in want of blueness. I know it is kind of an insult to the musicians and her, but the conclusion is this. For the present.
Well, first, let me mention about why that was made. Keeping an order is very important. Why did JUJU get to sing jazz songs though she was a pop singer, first of all?

It is said JUJU had desired to be a jazz singer since 12 years old. When I was 12, I wanted to be a manga artist, but there was not any reality. In other words, I didn't know what could make me become the one. So it means that JUJU went thru the labyrinth and got to her goal point. Plainly, I guess it is so admirable.
She managed to be a popular singer under great difficulties. We heard her sing at TV dramas and commercials. It's supposed the success made the record company she belonged to say go. She got a chance to build a jazz album with her leading vocal. Cheers!
Dreams come true. Congratulations! Isn't it? However, good jazz cannot be made by only such a process.
Set the "Delicious" on the CD player. Push Play. The first song "A Woman Needs Jazz" comes from a pair of JVC's wooden speakers. Not bad. Her singing and background plays are all not bad. That's all, however. I can't feel any blues that jazz must include, and any wave motions which well up from the bottom of heart. Those sound like a sushi without wasabi. In other words, they are just jazzy pop songs.
So I believe that's good to pop music listeners. Maybe it is correct to listen to as a pop album. However, Perhaps I shouldn't say so, but I believe this doesn't include a jazz singer that she had longed to become.
That is predominantly in want of blueness. Sorry, but I guess no one can get it with technique. You can take after traveling along the winding road of life with wearing out a variety of footwear. At least, most of us. So I would like her to try again someday with her ripened voice that she doesn't have yet. And I am truly looking forward to the time. Too early were the songs. Indeed.
