About our introductory articles

Nobody will deny that there are as many opinions about “Love” as there are people. But ultimate love will be meant by mother’s love, that’s to say, a love that asks nothing in return. And that’s like the sun. If mothers come in contact with their children when they are kind of lacking in motherhood or immature, the relations hardly go well and sometimes it causes murder or sad cruelty.

You need to have that love like the sun in order to be someone’s parents. But the circle is only one, as we know, and it tells us solitude means a shadow of motherly love. A Japanese famous singer; Kuwata Keisuke released his second studio album “The Sun of Solitude” in 1994. It includes something like that.

“The Sun of Solitude” is extremely unconventional among all his works and all albums of Southern All Stars that Kuwata has belonged to as the singer, although the borderline between the two has lately been misted.

Above all, “The Sun of Solitude” sounds gloomy as a whole. It is completely different from Southern All Stars like a musical department store, and also from his first album which he made in the name of pop music for Kuwata Keisuke himself. And accordingly, the dark has called shine as pops. There is no self-righteous gloom within the album.

Mother of Kuwata Keisuke passed away while he was making songs for “The Sun of Solitude.” He was getting close to her remains, and then, “月 (Moon) ” came to his mind. But don’t you be misled. I never mean the album sounds gloomy because he lost his mother.

In my reasoning, Kuwata met her death and reconfirm her motherly love by himself. He felt an ultimate love, but had to suffer from loneliness since he was left behind. The two are rightly meant in “The Sun of Solitude.”

The sun means an ultimate love and the shadow is solitude. These have gone through a filter named Kuwata Keisuke, and formed pop music named “The Sun of Solitude.” The sun makes and emphasizes shadows, you know.
