Hello. I'm here to talk about Hitori-toiro the first studio album of Miyamoto Karin. It was released in 2022 October. You may have heard nothing about Karin before. She is the Japanese female singer born in 1998. She had belonged to Hello! Project produced by Up-front Group in Japan, worked as a member of Juice=Juice the female group. That consisted of 5 girls including Karin, made their debut in 2013. And their world tour was held in 2017, they visited several countries like France, Germany, Brazil, England, Mexico, Taiwan and so on. So I guess some foreigners have heard her name.

After their countless activities, she graduated from the group in 2020. They held their special concert for the graduation in 2020 December. And she became a solo singer.

Her first single was released in 2021 December. In fact, I knew her at the time. I had not heard Juice=Juice before, had known nothing about Karin of course. Anyway, I got a chance to listen to her debut single "氷点下 (Hyo-tenka)." I was perfectly fascinated with the winter song written by Yamazaki Aoi. I often push play for hearing it by compact disk still now. And my brain got her name.


Her second single went out in 2022 summer, her first studio album did in the October. That is Hitori-toiro. Hitori means alone, toiro does variety. Probably, she decided to make all kinds of faces by herself as the title shows. How about the songs? My personal opinion says I'd like them, ideally, to have put a variety of arrangement. They rearranged the debut single song of Juice=Juice, made Karin sing it with Inoue Rei (who joined Juice=Juice in 2020). That duet hasn't been on CDs. I want them to have put the one upon this album.


And I'm looking forward to meeting the next one of Miyamoto Karin.
