Last summer, a Japanese band, Porno Graffiti published their tenth original studio album “Rhinoceros.” Their ninth was in 2012 March, by the way. It got the No. 1 of Oricon Weekly Chart on August 31, selling about 42,000 copies a week.
“Rhinoceros” is filled with the presence of Porno Graffiti, and full of their respect for the precursors. There are 14 songs of a lot of variety, which makes it almost difficult to find out what their nucleus is. However, uniformity can be felt silently. Porno Graffiti would have taken the line that their precursors used to do.
Many kinds of music are included, which is supposed to satisfy you no matter what sort like to listen to. Viewed from the opposite side, it is probably tough to love all the songs. Hold on please, however. “ミステーロ” (Mistero) is waiting for you at the last, like a brilliant goal tape or nirvana.
Ak. Homma (Honma Akimitsu) had produced and arranged their songs since their major debut. His name is not printed on the credit list, but. Then, the tenth is mostly describing what Porno Graffiti is now.
