Japan-made Violins
Consideration about the State
I'd learnt violin while belonged to an elementary school, although it seldom went well. I had used a violin which my parents bought for my teacher's recommendation.
It means there's no way for beginners to select the instruments. No beginners who say "I want to have a Japan-made violin" or "I must have the Italy-made one!" Even if you say so, your teacher'll tenderly reject when he/she's sane.
What kind of people, then, are choosing violins? Collectors or seniors. Anyway, they are considered to be more informed than usual people. What on earth can make them desire to buy Japan-made ones?
Violin's basis is found overseas, not in Japan. Cremia in Italy and Saxony in Germany are well-known for the place violin artisans gather to study at. Most of Japanese violin craftsmen had learnt there, indeed.
I found there's no reason we must build violins in Japan. There're many violin builders inside. Popular are Yamaha and Suzuki Violin. However, a part of their products are made in China. No reason to win against China when we need mass production.
Well-informed users are guessed to want the one made in Italy or Germany. If you weren't so, you are reaching China-made ones. Some of China-made violins are actually great though cheap. On the other hand, we can't find the reason why we have to get Japan-made ones. My conclusion says Japan-made violins are almost meaningless to the users.
